    • Bleaches, acids or dyes
    • Blood
  • Difficult stains could impair the effectiveness of the results. Spartan Carpet Cleaning takes no responsibility for the results of permanent stains.
  • On some occasions stains or spillages on carpet can react negatively to the cleaning process. The stain or spill may have leaked through to the backing or underlay and can wick through to the surface of the carpet.
  • Stains or spillages on fabric and leather sofas may spread to the foam cushions or filling. These can wick through to the fabric after cleaning.
    • Spartan carpet cleaning does not take responsibility for wick back of spillages or stains that have spread in the cleaning process and turned into permanent stains.

If second or third cleaning is required, re-clean charges will apply.

What we cannot guarantee:

Permanent stains:

  • Spartan carpet cleaning will endeavour to remove all spots and stains. We carry a large range of stain treatment chemicals.
  • Stain removal will be successful providing the stain has not SET into the fibres. Once stains have SET, it causes discolouration due to dye change or bleaching and becomes The following substances are virtually impossible to remove:
    • Coffee
    • Cordial
    • Curry
    • Yellow Urine Stains
    • Pharmaceutical preparations
    • Acids and Bleach
  • Stains can be more difficult to remove from wool carpet compared to a synthetic carpet. Deterioration, fading, heavy traffic and wear cannot be rectified by cleaning.

Urine stains and animal hair:

  • We do not guarantee the removal or urine stains as these can become permanent.
  • Human and animal hair becomes intertwined within the fibres and can become extremely difficult to remove from the fibres on an initial deep steam or dry clean.
  • On occasion, the carpet may require further cleaning after a steam clean, with an upright vacuum cleaner daily with a rotating brush vacuum cleaner to completely remove hair.

Damage to seams, joins and sofas with or without care labels:

  • Spartan Carpet Cleaning takes no responsibility for damage that may occur because of carpet seams and joints that separate in the cleaning process.
  • The latex used in carpet backings for fringing, seaming, tape binding and repairs deteriorates in time and may loosen during the cleaning process.
  • All fabric sofas in Australia are required to have a FABRIC CLEANING CARE label attached to either the base and / or cushions from the manufacturer. The label is intended to inform the cleaning technician on what methods and procedures are recommended by the manufacturer. If the care label on your sofa has been removed, Spartan Carpet Cleaning will not be held responsible for any damage caused in the cleaning process, as we will not have had access to the manufacturer’s care instructions. It is your responsibility as the owner to know what care your sofa needs.
  • It is understood by the customer that they have read the care instructions from the manufacturer, and they are completely responsible for the outcome of the lounge – which may include colour runs or fades which are out of the technicians’ hands.

Cleaning items at the customer’s risk:

  • There may be circumstances where we at Spartan will refuse to clean items due to certain factors and conditions in which there would be a risk of damage. Examples of items in which this may occur is:
    • Indian cotton sofas
    • Haitian cotton
    • Coir
    • Sisal rope carpet
  • If you, as the customer, wish for us to proceed with cleaning against our recommendation, we will not be held responsible for any damage that may occur in the process.

Cleaning of carpets that have been dyed:

  • If your carpets and / or furnishings have been dyed rather than replaced at some stage, cleaning may cause these colours to run, and your carpet may show colour loss. You or our technician may not be aware that your carpet has been re-dyed, and therefore we are not liable or responsible for any colour loss or damage caused during the cleaning process.

Damage to loose grout in the Tile and Grout Cleaning process:

  • Tile and grout cleaning can sometimes damage or dislodge loose or old grout in the cleaning process. Loose or damaged grout sometimes cannot be noticed / seen on initial inspection and Spartan Carpet Cleaning will not be held responsible for grout that becomes dislodged or damaged during cleaning.
  • When cleaning natural stone tiles, the cleaning process will remove oil, detergent and other product build up. These contaminants often contribute to the overall shine of the stone, therefore after the cleaning process the natural state of the stone is revealed and is occasionally very dull. This is not damaged and Spartan Carpet Cleaning will not be held responsible for this.

Mould cleaning:

  • All prices for mould cleaning are subject to inspection.
  • All areas to be micro-cleaned need to be easily accessible.
  • In 95% of cases repainting is not required, though in some instances, oxidation of the paint may occur causing the paint to look pale or chalky. This usually occurs on surfaces that haven’t been repainted for a long period of time.
